- Recently joined Amen Clinics after serving as Unit Chief of the Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Mount Sinai West, formerly Roosevelt Hospital of St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.
- Previously served as Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Attending, Unit Chief, and Director of the Hispanic Inpatient Program at Bellevue Hospital Center, where he worked with Dr. Manuel Trujillo and Dr. Sandy Lowe.

- Worked with the deaf community at the New York Society for the Deaf. His senior residency research project utilized SPECT brain imaging of deaf patients to better understand the biological nature of auditory hallucinations.
- Completed Master’s classes in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and trained in meditation techniques rooted in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), incorporating these techniques into his outpatient and inpatient work.
- Training in PMCS and CPI crisis prevention and management has influenced his clinical work, with an emphasis on trauma-sensitive and humane, therapeutic care.
- Has educated medical students, residents, and psychology interns.
- Has received awards for his service to the Deaf community of New York City, the Maori community of New Zealand, and his volunteer work with victims’ families from 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy.
- Passionate about the Amen Clinics integrative approach to assessing and treating patients to enhance brain health and improve their lives.
- Lives on the Upper West Side with his family and enjoys playing keyboards in a band among his many creative interests.
